Barclays US Credit Cards App Reviews

Push notifications are very limited. Id like to see whenever my card is authorized. Many other banks offer this so you can closely monitor your account but barclaycard fails in this dept and this is the primary feature you need from a fraud/activity monitoring standpoint. only push notification I get is that Ive been logged out of my account which doesnt provide any value to me. Please fix the push notifications so that alert settings actually work as they are Listed. Outside of that Aesthetics of app are good and Touch ID is convenient.

Stuck with this app now that JetBlue card is no longer an AmEx. Its much too slow to update transactions, payments balance. AmEx updated instantly factoring pending transactions into balance. This app doesnt do the math for you and takes too long, so you NEVER know exactly how much you owe.

Amex, Chase, and other issuers give instant iOS or Text notifications the second the card is charged. Not so Barclays. Notifications are buried in the apps inbox (this requires a log in) and are everything but instant, taking a day or two, and are useless from a security point of view. Instant notifications are an important security feature, which makes me appreciate other cards & apps more. Also, every time I pay my balance in full manually, it doesnt cancel automated payments for that same statement. If I dont cancel the automated payment manually, Ill be charged twice. Amex can do all the above properly, why not Barlcays?

While it may not be as polished as some, this app is at least as good as the web access, and for mobile it is a little better designed. Im not a heavy user, but for payments and basic monitoring this app does the job.

Even when I set alerts in the app for push notifications per transaction, it does NOT send me any push notifications. This is a security feature that is present in all major bank apps besides barclays. Please fix it soon.

Worked great before, suddenly it wont let me log in and it crashes after 10 seconds. Pls fix and will be 5 stars

Fix notification push! I had Amex and they had this in their app 3 years ago! Come on!

Barclay was kind enough to give us two separate accounts (husband/wife) but we cannot add the second card to the app like you can with other credit card apps. Thats inconvenient to say the least. Other than that, the app seems fine.

The app continues to develop splay session timeout, after a logout. The fix was ineffective.

The app seems to have no trouble pushing notifications when signing me out after 20 minutes, but never of individual transactions as the app promises and as turned on in features. Coming from Amex as my former JetBlue card I see this as a major feature and dont feel as safe having this as my number one card anymore. There also doesnt seem to be anyway to leave app feedback. If you want me to continue using this card, FIX PUSH NOTIFICATIONS.

Love the peek feature and love barclaycard. Wish it would log out as soon as I exit the app though instead of tell me 20 minutes later that Ive been inactive and they logged me off

In todays world there is absolutely no excuse for a national credit card issuing bank now to offers this feature or have it working properly. Please fix immediately!

I typically dont write review but coming from Amex this app is terrible. I cant get push notifications to work properly. Push notifications are so important for fraud protection. They need to fix this ASAP!

push notifications dont work. Turned on alerts and set to "push" and still dont get the notifications. This is big to catch fraud asap.

This app is useless. You cant pay what you owe because its so delayed. You never truly know what the balance due is, youll have to wait several days, make no new charges, then finally you will see final statement balance. Push button notifications are no good. The entire app needs to be overhauled and resemble amex. The switch from amex to barclay was hard enough to tolerate (due to customer service). We gained some great perks, like double points, but this came at a price, i.e. This app. Please fix it.

Gives an error whenever I try to get account info for either of my Barclay cards after Ive logged in

This app is just crap and useless. Used my JetBlue card on Wednesday and today is Saturday still see no recent charges on my account activity. Just very sad and this app needs a little improvement if you ask me.

It would be very helpful to be able to modify or cancel payments through the app. If I schedule a payment through the app and then have to go the website to modify or cancel the payment, what good is the app. And I would also love to have push notifications available.

You really need to update the peak feature to show you the minimum amount due without having to log in all the way. Very annoying!

Since latest update either IPhone or App. The App wont open. Completely useless.
